A bit of Newport history:

On July 19, 1723, twenty-six men convicted of piracy were sent to the gallows at Gravelly Point on the Newport, RI shoreline as a large exuberant crowd looked on. We aim to rehabilitate the name by offering contemporary audiences a more uplifting entertainment experience!
